Top Speed

personally the fastest ive been is 110 at santa pod as i dont have a private run way, obviously no one speeds on the public roads but im just curious to know what the top speed of our cars is? does anyone know what the 2.0T is capable of? i thought it would be around 160 ish for a car like mine with stage 2+ but was talking to a freind with similar mods who said they go over 170mph  :surprised:

A friend of mine, near same setup as mine made 296km/t on speedo, 275km/t on gps and was done on the german autobahn as we don't have that long private run ways  :wink:

lol,i know, sorry, just hope people have the common sense not to boast about speeding im just interested if any of the tuners or anyone has pushed the cars to the limit on a private road  :smiley:


wow thats interesting danish, as thats just over 170mph on gps!  :surprised:

Would be interested to know what sort of fuel economy the golf does at ~170mph, must be about 14mpg?

the eos runs the 2.0 TFSi engine, stage 2+ and ive had 147mph out of it at bruntingthorpe proving grounds, REALLY scary stuff with the way that thing handles!  :grin: and it still had more to go but i ran out of track and  bravery

Had an easy 150 out of mine with a few in the back ( on a private dual carrigeway) so I would say it's a bit over that with how it felt n I've only had a remap.

less than that mate, your probably looking at about 8-10 mpg keeping a speed up like that.

167mph (267.2kph) on the GPS on the long straight at the Nurburgring. Speedo was reading off the needle :rolleye:

17" R888 tyres were rated W = up to 168mph :evilgrin: :chicken: :surprised: :scared:

Oh and that bit is slightly uphill :laugh:

On the trek home from Paderborn done a few high speed runs on the Autobahn but once in the 140+ region Im too busy watching the road!  :driver:

Standard ED30: 145mph on the autobahn. Couldn't reach the top speed to 152mph  :fighting:
