Will these MK6 OEM LED number plate lights work?

Hi everyone, does anyone know if these MK6 OEM number plate lights will work with a MK5 (physical fit and be free of light out errors)?

I have these on mine and they work great(cheers darren)
you can also change the bulb to a canbus error free LED bulb
just make sure you dont buy the LED version as there will be errors on your clocks!!!

Aren't they canbus error free in the first place? If they aren't what's the real point in doing it?

Yes they are canbus error free(brand new) but when you put in an LED bulb that will throw an error so you have to buy a canbus error free LED bulb if you are taking that route!!

^^^^ You need the standard MK6 ones to be able to add an error free W5W LED bulbs, these have a integrated LED's that require coding that's only available on the later Mk6 BCM/CEM

Damn, I was hoping it would be a simple PIN swap (like the MK4) but I guess the MK4 doesnt have bulb warnings in the BCM etc?

Am I being stupid but what's the point in this mod? I just use led bulbs in mine which look identical and cost less than £10 and are error free.

Loads of people are saying these do give and error and to turn of the cold lamp temp (VCDS) or something? Is this dangerous?

Found some information, the once I have pictured above are the LED version and supposdily do not give an error, the part number for these is slightly diffrent.
