Camshaft positioner sensor

Yes. Just remove the airbox, unplug the sensor which is on the front left of the engine pointing downwards, remove the torx t-30 bolt and the sensor will come out.  Fitting is the opposite. ;)

How much are they to buy I've tps right near me
Does anybody know the part number I've also searched the net and haven't any mk5 Gti with my problem

Just had your cambelt done?

well sometimes these sensor go just after the cam belt being changed, happened on my bros mk4 gti and one of my old cars. it pretty common.

I've got a new sensor on order from tps i will let you all know when I've fitted the sensor.

Easy fit? Just had cambelt done might replace as matter of course if the above is true

My advice and from personal experience is to get a genuine VW one and not one from ECP...

Iv got a p0340 fault coming up after my timing belt was done iv changed bother sensors the camshaft impulse one and the n205 valve and iv still got the code  :fighting: what else can it be ?
