These are the fault codes that were found on the car. I've looked them up on Ross tech but are they linked?

I would say possible that there all related? Looks like the recirc dv has give up the ghost or its on its way out, get it changed clear the faults and keep an eye on the first fault if it persists have cylinder 1 pressure tested?

First up, thanks for all your help guys, for me it is invaluable, particularly as none of that stuff makes any sense at all to me!

Darren, are you suggesting an upgrade to the Revision D diverter valve?

Oh, and just to provide a few more details, prior to the warning the light and following it coming on the car has felt absolutely fine. Since Nasir cleared the warning light I have done about 30 miles and it has not returned.

If its on the ED30 cannot you not take it out and check it? I'm sure its a remote DV i.e easier to get to I presume.

There is air escaping from somewhere and that's the most likely place other than intercooler pipes.

I'm not lucky enough to have an Ed30 dude! I guess it's worth changing anyway and I can do it myself.

The warning light still hasn't came on again however I keep on thinking it feels a bit breathless on part throttle, but that might just because I'm being hyper sensitive knowing that something is wrong.

Sorry don't know where I got Ed30 from, early morning thought malfunction :signLOL: any way if it feels iffy then change it anyway mate you'll probably notice the difference straight away has the power will have been ebbing away ever so slightly over time has the DV breaks down.

So apparently the N80 Solenoid Valve is at fault. Does this sound accurate, and is it easy to replace?

Evaporative Emission (EVAP)
Canister Purge Regulator
Valve N80

This shows the layout - not sure how easy to change (P10)

This problem is really starting to p*ss me off now. Paid over £100 to have the N80 Solenoid Valve changed on Friday and the warning light has popped back on the dash.

Where do I stand with something like this if they've replaced a part that wasn't at fault?

Just another question, the Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249), this is what is otherwise known as the diverter valve right?

I don't want to sound rude but I told you in the top post Ive seen this quite a few times and the Diverter Valve should have been your first port of call and probably cheaper.

When the DV breaks up it lets air past the valve where it shouldn't and this is why your getting your evap emissions fault, the bank 1 could just be a spark plug thats not gapped properly.

That does sound arrogant SORRY Andrew :signLOL:

Hey, it doesn't sound arrogant at all Darren. I'm just not too hands on with engine stuff and decided to trust the garage rather than try and fix it myself. My fault I guess.

Just gutted now that I've paid £100 for a fix that wasn't needed, and now it will be more money if it is the DV. :fighting:
