R32 / ED 30 Side Skirt Part numbers

Just doing some research before I buy I am looking to get the ED 30 or R32 (smooth / primed  ) side skirts, but given the conflicting information in the Web, I can't decide what to ask for at the Stealers.

I have found:
Part number: 1K4 853 860

But on the web it details it to be for a 4/5 door hatch?
All the same though surly ?

No, the 2 or  4 door side skirts are the same.

No, the 2 or  4 door side skirts are the same.

That's not quite right. ETKA gives different part numbers for 2 & 4 door

But I don't see how they are different at all?

I might be way off but I think the cars are the same dimension in that area?

Mate of mine mistakenly put 4 door skirts on his 2 door and they don't fit properly  

The difference is only small, but there is a difference

Also why would VW bother to list different parts if all the same and at the same price

Uh oh..........small difference = a difference for sure.....Christ...anyone else confirm that the 4 door Skirts should not be bought if it is a 3 door

Just got off the phone with my local dealer.

R32 Side Skirts are

1K3853859DGRU SKIRT X 1 £224.
1K3853860DGRU SKIRT X 1 £224.
 
And there is a difference between 3 & 5 door variants (so the parts desk guys said)

The Standard black GTI units are

859B9B9 - £34
860B9B9 - £34
no contest really...black ones and smooth them myself...
