Dan's Seat Leon Cupra, Emocion Red
« on: February 07, 2012, 11:57:43 pm »
Hi Guys,

My name's Dan, been a VAG owner for a few years having quite a few cars so far, enjoy them while I can!
My most recent car was a 2.0TDI Audi A3 S-Line as I thought I'd be travelling a lot more with a new job but it turns out I've stayed in my current job so work is only about 6 miles for me.
I played about with the A3 for a bit, had a remap and spacers etc but there was nothing else I fancied doing it. It wasn't sporty enough for me to be honest and the only other mod I wanted to do was the LED Bi-Xenons, but at nearly £1k just for the parts and new MOT laws, I didn't bother. I had a bit of finance on the Audi and wanted to pay it off so I went on the search for a new car. Test drove BMWs, Minis etc and decided that no matter what life will bring, I'll always have a Seat.
I test drove an Ibiza Cupra but couldn't get on with it so went back to the Leon. I originally looked at the PD170 like I had before (miss my black 550 far too much) and with it only being a short distance to work, I'd have DPF troubles before long. So I settled on another Cupra thus paying off the majority of my finance and leaving me free to do as I please.

So without further ado, here she is. Possibly the most specced out Leon I've had to date!

The car's on a 07 plate with only 35k on the clock, full Seat service history and better still from my local garage. Standard items include;

Rainsensor,
Auto lights,
Sunroof,
Parking sensors,
Bluetooth,
Auto Dim interior mirror,

And all the standard Leon goodies like powerfold mirrors, Bi-Xenons etc.
I'm very pleased with the car, dealer offered a full tank of fuel and the gloss black grill and the deal was done.....the next day I was ordering parts haha.

Also some of these which will be going on next week :)

and one of these which I missed from my Audi;

Gave the rather tired looking pedals a good clean, although they could do with being replaced as they're seriously scratched!

So that's how she stands at the mo!

Spacers will be on next week, and hopefully yellow calipers.
Had a good read tonight and also next week, I'll have a look at my cam follower and probably replace the PCV valve as I think it maybe the issue to my jerkyness when cold, unless the dealer does it before me :P

Hi Dan, nice to see you back in a Cupra again! The new one looks a beauty with a really good spec. Hopefully this one will stay with you longer than 6 months!

More modding today :D

First up, this idea I stole from Mike (TFSI_Mike) :D Think it's brilliant, would have never thought to put it there but glad I did as it suits the black headlining very well!
The wire is all hidden behind the plastics etc but need to plump it in this week from the fuse box;

Next up was one of these trusty ol' things....extra 10bhp I heard ;) Yellow to match my theme;

Didn't get round to removing the dealer sticker, but I will this week :)

Then decided to have a play with some vinyl, now I'm not the greatest when it comes to vinyl.....which is why I'm gonna spray it haha, doesn't look too bad for now :)

Good work Danny

Im goin to put a switch in I think next to the headlight switch so I don't hammer the battery of the Nav.

Cheers Mike, how have you actually wired the charger? I was gonna wire another 12v socket to the fuse panel?

I am here:

I wired (Soldered) a female 12v Socket into the fuse compartment so I didnt have to solder onto or butcher the Tom Tom plug.
