Is there a Forum Calender for 2013?
« on: November 27, 2012, 07:35:29 am »

I seem to remember calls for photos for last year's calender had been made by this time last year?

Is there to be a calender for  next year? I hope so, Turning over to see which lovely motor was going to adorn my kitchen wall for the next 30 days was often the highlight of my month! (Admittedly, it's not been a great year!)

Fun Golf: 2016 mk7 R DSG 3 door. Work Golf: 2015 mk7 1.4 TSI GT ACT 5 door.
Gone but not forgotten : mk2 Golf GTI 16v, mk4 Golf V6 4Motion, mk5 GTI Storm Developments Stage 1, mk5 GTI Revo Stage 1, BMW 330ci, Skoda Octavia VRS Revo Stage 2, BMW Z4 Sdrive35i.

Well these things don't just appear.

The guy who did the previous ones Nick doesn't have a Golf and hasn't been around these parts for some time.

You can make calendars through iPhoto (http://www.apple.com/ilife/print-products.html#in-year-pictures), or somewhere like Vista Print or Printing.com will print them. Obviously Nick works for a printer so they were a lot cheaper.

I've personally never used a calendar other than the one on my Mac etc, so I've not really got a use for one.

....Careful what you wish for, Ian - Sometimes they do. I just happened to have created this in the last couple of days. I'm not suggesting it's the 2013 Forum Calendar but just sharing it on topic:

....As I have never met you I don't know if you are a natural blonde or not, Andrew

Your portrait could be here instead of GTian's:

^ This calendar design I have posted isn't a format which the forum wants (based on its 2011 and 2012 previous discussions) and so, as I said earlier, it isn't a real suggestion - It's just me (aka RED INK) mucking about in graphic design software.

However, as a last resort if nothing can get decided and printed in time, it would be possible for individual forum members to submit their car photo to me to substitute and then I would email it back for you to print out at whatever size you wanted for yourself. It's not a 'this-is-our-forum-cars' group of 12 though - It's an individual calendar, not a forum calendar but would have the forum logo (unless not wanted).

Scopes is volunteering  :drinking:  :happy2: - It just needs the tricky/lengthy process of selecting which 12 cars...........   :popcornsoda:

What about getting a thread started with the cars to be entered for the calender...
Yes this is a late start, but better late than never...

Just put a time limit it on it...

How does this get organised? As its short notice you could run a tread with a double purpose.....

A) enter your photos for the Calendar

B) Group buy (in a list form, added to and amended by the members as they post their request for GB)

Maybe run the thread for 5-7 days then end the pics being submitted and choose pics to be used, preview calendar, then after 2-3 days close GB, take monies and print calendars and send out. Quite a lot to do IMO in short notice.

Is there going to be a set price on a Calendar (delivered) or would that depend on the number ordered and the tyre of Calendar being made up?
