Official Winter Photo Whore Thread
« on: January 02, 2013, 08:31:35 pm »
I have seen something similar on another forum so thought I would start a thread for everyone here. Use it to post photos of your car in winter mode and for general wintery photo whoring. What wheels/tyres are people using if different to your summer setup?

Although it is fairly mild at the minute, we will no doubt get a good dumping at some point this year as in previous years.

Here is mine. Currently on 17" Classix with Nokian WR A3's.

Haven't wintered the Golf yet.. and with these mad double digit temperatures we're having, I kinda wished I hadn't bothered with the expense of winter wheels and tyres... I hope to be proven wrong at some point in the next month or two :)

Here's mine...

Planning on getting some Classix or Monza's for next winter but got these cheap and in a hurry then added some SV-2 snowtyres, they'll do for now.

Have changed the brakes and ride height since then though.

Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Nothing special from me really.

Got my Monza's refurbed matt black in the summer, as I always had the intention of making them my winters and getting new alloys in the spring. So running 17's with Vred Wintrac Extremes.

Tyres are decent in the cold (as you'd hope/expect) but not as great when it gets closer to 10 degrees (as you'd expect).

Here are some from today. Went out to see if I could get stuck and to see what the Nokian's could do. Needless to say they were very good.

Come on Land Rover. Out the way.
