Getting this done tomorrow but just wanted to ask something. Got that slightly uneven tick over with the rev needle doesnt move but can feel it in car slightly so hoping it will help sort that out etc. however, Looks like my MAF needs replacing now so is it best to replace this first as believe searching in here that this could also be a symptom of the uneven tick over. Or doesn't it matter in what order I do things?

Disconnect the maf. If the car runs better/smoother with it disconnected then replace it.

how much does the Terraclean cost?

Disconnect the MAF, no difference so will get the terraclean done and see what happens/throws up. Cost wise its £75 + Vat.
Tested PVC also, run rough when opened oil cap so that's ok I understand from bits I have searched on here

Forgot to add with over 100k on the motor should be interesting to see if it makes a difference

Had it done WOW!! Can feel the difference in performance.
Car has 100k on so needed a good clean out inside and boy has it done that..

Glad you've noticed the difference aswell. It might pay you to do the inlet valves aswell via the Maf housing as the Terraclean won't do this, or did they put a different machine on the car to carry out an Intake clean.??

I done both and car runs alot better, and that Carbon buildup causes these getting more common idling issues as the mileages rank up.

There are Terraclean dealers all over the country. Try googling it or if your on Facebook, they are on there

I read on a jag forum earlier someone paid 80 inclusive vat.


It injects some special cleaner into the engine, and the small particles of the fluid are charged and attracted to carbon. Once they make contact, it evaporates and pushes down the manifold as air. (something along those lines)

So where do you inject it into as said above it does ant clean the inlet valves, how would you access the valves
