Question for rim whores...
« on: August 07, 2009, 07:44:59 pm »
What's 18x8, magnesium and weighs in at 7.6kilos a corner?

.

.

.

OZ Motorsport tarmac wheels, obviously. Need a good refurb, but they're sound and straight, so they're going to end up like the last pic.

Sideways yo!

5x114.3 ET48.

As the face is so thin, the brakes are no problem clearance wise (have offered them up) and there's scope to have them welded and re-drilled if I don't want the wobble bolted... but as I've no issues running wobblers, then I may as well go that route, depending on projected prices.

They'll be white with VWR blue decals.
Sideways yo!

Yep, pretty much that exact colour combo, Jonny.

I'm not that fussed what they look like to be fair, they're just going to be track slaggers, but I have a feeling they'll look kinda cool - that'll be a bonus!

They'll look very individual and distinctive, Mike, whether track slappers slags slaggers or not. :notworthy:

Not at all, I spotted an ad on Pistonheads in the Motorsport section. I trawl stuff like that and other motorsport/rally classifieds looking for the odd interesting bargain - sans 'scene tax', as they say... ebay and forums for the most part are a rip off.

I was looking for Jap fit magnesium centered BBS, the Holy Grail of wheels. I know someone that has a few sets, but won't part with them - mainly because I'd just want 4xfronts.

Sideways yo!

....Personally I don't trust eBay either, but I'm curious why you say that forums for the most part are a rip off.

Those BBS with the gold centres are fabulous!
