What's the best wheel cleaner for 18 inch monza 11 please

It's not what you use, it's more often how you use it.
Anything Acid Free, Ph Neutral would be fine... I use Chemical Guys Diablo. You may want to use Iron X as well depending on how much brake dust is embedded within the wheel.

i use ValetPro Bilberry, its PH neutral and works amazing, i always stick some poor boys wheel sealant on them too to help repel the brake dust :)

I didnt think Bilberry was PH neutral?

I just stopped using it as i have coated my wheels in Carbon Collective Platinum wheels and says to use ph neutral shampoo so used DJ born to be mild

Bilberry is very alkaline when neat (pH 13-14 IIRC) and less so when diluted (around ph 9)

I've found Bilt Hamber autowheel to be very good. It's PH neutral .

Ah yeah I was sure bilberry wasn't otherwise would carry on using it.

May look into some bilt hamber in future :)

If you wash, detar, clay and put 3 coats of sealant on your wheels you can wash the dust off with the same shampoo you use to wash the car!

Iron x then autoglym metal polish worthed well for me

Would avoid using metal polish on clearcoated wheels you can take the lacquer off.....

I've been helping a mate lately with some work and as he's a professional detailer he gets products sent to him to try.

Last weekend we tried a product called Surf City Code Red on a manky BMW wheel. It has fallout removers but it is not a true fallout removal product - but worked very very well, without brushing or scrubbing it got the wheel "acceptably" clean.

bilberry is non acid but its not ph neutral, i use that along with iron-x.

I would definitely recommend protecting them with Gtechniq C5. I gave my dishes 3 coatings of it when they were polished and every was they wipe clean perfectly and look like they have just been polished

I have been a fan of bilberry, but I guess it is a personal choice.

Bilberry neat is a very alkaline cleaner - remember that alkaline can be more dangerous than acid.


Also Ph neutral wheel cleaners are next to no good, they have no cleaning power as they are "Ph neutral.

Say away from Acid, but find somsomething in between PH nut, and alkaline and you will be onto a winner

I have tried a number of products over the last few months on wheels and have found my favourite new product to be wax tec fall out v2. Perfectly safe on wheels and this year recommended by others in the detailing world product of the year category for wheels. This provides an excellent starting point then I just use something like hot wheels me guides or a lightly diluted apc on the wheel. Coat with poor boys after as it's the best wheel sealant in my book for its price! And then it's easy maintenance work after that. Just snow foam or shampoo does the trick then
