Have you considered DS2500 pads.
There's more rear brake bias on the mk5 golf than people realise.

Thats true, but little point spending £100 plus on rear pads on standard fronts.....

You'd be better off on larger rear discs on an OEM pad than a Super Pad which won't get hot on a standard disc.

Factoid: Lots of cup cars run standard pads....only becomes an issue after a few hours apparently

Go ATE its a good compound for the 996TT caliper that, quiet and does ok fast road up to a point

Went ATE, who am I to disagree with the forum brake guru!  I've had both the Pagid and Bosch before too, lol

You clearly know more than a lot of people think they know.  :happy2:
Sarcasm for free. Anything after that can only be considered as a bonus.

Just because you think you know something, doesn't make you an expert if you've just read it on the internet, y'know.

not sure that's entirely fair unless I missed the bit about his front set up.
Also not doubting Dave's knowledge on the subject which followed.

Hmm, you know I was complimenting and agreeing with you, don't you?

Edit, and also (in principle) with Dave.
