DSG issue

Hi all,

I have a GTI, RTech stage 1, RTech DSG map.

I have had the maps a while and had no problems.. In fact it's been fantastic. Recently when driving sensibly in D mode the car seems to hold higher revs for a lot longer (now 2500 to 3000 compared to 2000). This is intermittent. Do you think it is just a mapping issue or something more serious?

Any advice would be welcome.

DSG mechatronic has fuzzy logic and tends to adapt to your driving pattern.

So you think its a mechatronics issue and cannot be fixed by remapping the DSG? I've has the map for about 20k miles and have had no issues previously.

IMO it doesn't sound like "an issue", just the dsg adapting to your driving pattern.

I've had the map for over a year now so why change now? I guess I need to approve my driving pattern  :driver:

This is really getting annoying now.  Sometimes I can be driving at 60mph in 6th gear and other times im in 4th gear... 

Do you think a simple trip to R-Tech can solve this or is it more serious?

Could try a full DSG reset/adaption?  There is a guide on the forum somwhere.

A dsg remap won't fix issue.

Have you had the battery off the car.
The DSG has reset happened to me after I had the battery off and when I had a DSG Service

Battery hasn't been off. I did reset the navigation system by removing a fuse.
