Sadly, I now seem to have this problem. Very frustrating as I love the VWR intake look and subtle sounds.
Seems to have been rubbing laterally, which has hit the T-piece, and it is now weeping a bit. I think there may have been vertical movement too, which isn't great as I think the intake has put stress on some of the crappy hose clips VW use, which may have eaten into the hoses below the filter housing.
So new coolant flange on order, plus hoses - car booked in with a different VW specialist to who fitted it - will be interesting to see what they make of the kit and the fitting. I love the intake, but I don't want it if it brings this hassle every 10 months...
I have some Forge coolant hoses I never fitted - I will take them too - maybe they are tougher than the OEM rubber ones, and can be cut down to give some headroom to the filter box...
Only other thing I can think of is an additional shim to lift the cradle bracket that attaches to the battery tray to lift the inlet a little more.
