There are so many parts like air intakes, DVs, coilovers, exhausts, clutches etc it's so hard to find out what is really the best I have decided on BCS power flow exhaust and a Revo ceramic air intake with heat shield still researching all the rest lol

Welcome to the fold Kieran!  :drinking:

Lovely looking Eddy you've got young man. Best of luck getting 385bhp from a generic REVO stage2+ map. Possible with a big turbo and a custom map......maybe. Look at R-Tech.

Happy modding.  :happy2:

Qualified mechanic you say? Stand by for lots of questions and advice requests coming your way from people... :happy2: When a project begins with "I am aiming for 385bhp" I'm always going to keep an eye on it.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

After speaking to Niki from R-tech to help me make my own decision, I would either visit him or if you want a big brand generic map then go APR. Niki himself told me they map similarly to him, i.e they don’t map into the surge point on the turbo and he highly rates them as generic maps go. Plus it’s free upgrades from stage to stage. Worth a thought… :happy2:

Cheers guys thanks for all the nice comments and advice I'm a level 2 qualified mechanic so I know most stuff but not EVERYTHING I'm hoping to get 385bhp that's my goal but I know I will have to cross many bridges to get there but with the right direction with company's and the correct parts that are up to the job I'm new to the high performance stuff :) and always feel free to ask me anything or everything I'll always try my best to answer questions to my best capability :)

Not to sound like a doosh but to get a genuine 385bhp you will need more than the average 2+ setup...

A friend of mine went on a quest for more power which resulted in him getting the following bits...

BBT Hybrid K04
CTS discharge pipe
Revo throttle pipe
TTRS/RS3 in tank pump
Water methanol injection

He ended up with 391bhp for a short while until things went a little wrong :(

Have a look for yourself here... http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=84642.0

Welcome!

Lovely Ed30 you have  :happy2:

Take a look at this - he got 400bhp from a K04 with WMI. you need to replicate his exact setup to get more than 370bhp on the stock turbo

It was monsterously fast, and even more powerrful than big turbo setups which were mapped by other tuners (Revo)
