1st mods!?

What was everyone's first mod to their car? I have noticed a few have amber DRLZ etc. Little touches like that make me think how they been done

Amber DRL as your saying, if it's on the headlight units, that would be side lights running through the indicators.

DRL is running it through your fog lights. That myself is something I want to do next once I've fixed my GTI.

My first modification was a K&N panel filter. Ah, seems so long ago I started the slippery, expensive journey into the modified world...

my first mod was taking the r32 lights off my old golf and fitting them to my gti the next day

iv had my indicators activated so they run with my sidelights, i also changed the sidelight bulb to amber ones so its one solid strip of amber  :happy2:

actually my FIRST mod was to take the rear wiper off to fit it to my old car that i swapped it for and that was literally 5 minutes after i handed over the cash  :signLOL:

How would I go about doing the amber lights,?

It's done through vagcom my brother did it so I can't be much help unfortunately I think @xjay1337 did a video of how to do it

K&N drop in filter
GIAC tune
Springs and B8 dampers
Neuspeed intake
and so on forever...
I changed the FTP(flash to pass) bulbs to yellow, the fogs to yellow with yellow laminate, side mirrors smoked with smoked laminate, and front side markers are smoked with smoked laminate also. I added the Euro light switch and a rear fog as well.



All interior lamps are covered in red laminate...


Minus the eyelids now...


Had both the bonnet and roof painted satin black, but went back over the bonnet with red leaving only the roof satin black...


Just before going lower...


...and now even lower...


Basically, you try and turn your imagination into reality...go crazy!  :drinking:
