door mirrors
« on: June 07, 2015, 02:48:46 pm »
Just noticed today driving over 50mph the door mirror glass starts to wobble, more on the passenger but still both! I haven't hit anything and I've checked the mirrors and nothings hit me. I've checked ever bit of the mirrors and its all sercure, the mirror glass might move a tiny fraction under a bit of forse. All the electrics and heaters work fine, anyone any ideas?

Common problem where the adhesive between the glass and plastic mount gives up the ghost. You can either use double sided tape, silicon sealant or hot glue gun to stick back together.

Happened to me on the motorway. Mirror starts flapping about. Managed to get off at next junction & save the glass. OEM glue had dried and perished. Fixed it permanently with 3M double sided carpet tape. Always carry a roll of that with me now!
