Feeler K04 owners Update 04.02.2010 Pictures added
« on: January 18, 2010, 04:33:15 pm »
Hi,

( Thx for moving it :happy2: )
My workshop and i are working on a part that will add a bit more torque to a K04 engine, just wanted to see if there would be any interest in a product like this??
I have no idea of price atm, i will be getting the part fitted tomorrow and getting the car RR befotre and after.
I plan to upload the results as soon as i have them.
When revieving the results bear in mind that it's for a car with APR K04 software.

The turbo outlet in the picture is not ready to be fitted yet  :happy2:

Looking forward to your responses.

Cheers

It's a Turbo outlet and tubing for the K04 a'la the one Neuspeed has made for the K03, ( I have noticed that they have had the same idea as us   )
Basically it replaces the part between the turbo and tubing for the IC.
We are fitting it tomorrow on mine and then we'll know if it's worth it or not. On the K03 stage 1 it gives app. 3hk and16nm.

But we'll see how it goes  :drinking:

I'm sorry, didn't get around to taking any Photos  :sad1:

But the results i have, don't mind the dip, aparrently is a hardware error on my car   (if any have an idea as to why, please let me know, perhaps the standard DV isn't up to the job??? )
Within a couple of weeks we are going to fit another one on a friends car, same specced engine, i promise to take pictures next time.

Here goes:

And after:

The turbo outlet is basically as the Neuspeed one except the outside flange is bigger as we have used 2,5" pipe to replace the standard discharge piping going down to the IC.
I don't know if any find the gains worth the hazzle, but it impressed me, both the HP and Torque gained.

....You need to be much more specific about what this "part" is if you want people to express interest.

Not sure I'd really want any extra torque through the DSG clutchpack. I've been trying my best to lower the torque to make it tractable....and I have an LSD!!

Definitely subscribed to the thread though :happy2:

Instead of cutting in the original tube like Neuspeed does, they have made one that goes from the turbo to the IC. The part that fits in the turbo, (turbo outlet), has no slots in it like in the original part, so the flow should be better.
I'll have photos and logs tomorrow

kinda like the SFS kit hoses then i guess, only solid. A sloid option would be good, especially if it utilised the securing mounts on the std discharge pipe.

Potential problem though is do all the differnt intercooler kits have the same size outlets, also would it work with the likes of a twintercooler etc

the connection to different intercoolers is a problem, but all problems can be solved.
this first prorotype is made for my APR IC and neuspeed pulley kit (more space for the piping).
Should fit Cupras aswell.  :happy2:
