Howdy.
Does anybody know how to remove the little interior lights that are in the front footwell? I wanna sort it so they light up red to match the other interior illumination.
Cheers.

Hmmm. I've tried to push them out and they don't seem to want to budge? I can't see any clips round the back either? Are the same on all mk5's or have they been revised maybe.........or am I just being dense!?

Basically theres a small clip that on the side closest to the door. If you just gently pull it at this side first the clip just pops out and then the other side will follow. Just disconnect the electrical connector by pinching the sides and the whole unit comes away nicely.
Once its out the clear plastic bit sits in a metal case by the way of 4 x very small clips, one in each corner. I just used a fine screwdriver to pop it out and then the bulb just slips out.
The below link takes you to somewhere that sells the bulbs in red or MAPLIN Electronics do them in blue if you'd prefer.

Any pics?
I wanted sub lighting in the car. Not sure how I'd do it but this sounds like a step forward.

When my bulbs arrive I'll be taking them back out to swap the bulbs over. When I do I'll take some pics and post them on this thread.

i changed mine this morning, pretty easy to do actually, have not seen them lit up at night yet, and you can hardly see them in the day, but I think thats the same with the standard ones.

They look
when its dark. I bet the blue would too. Then they'd match the other interior lighting instead.
