Noting here that this review is for the 3dr and not the 5dr so i wont be covering the rear deflectors, you have to order the rear separately.
i bought mine from here:
http://www.palmautomotive.co.uk/ at a cost of £44.95 delivered
i know these will not be to 99% of peoples taste but they look pretty flush on the car, and the fitment is good.
so what do you get for your money?
well basically nothing more than this:
so here's how to fit them, should take no more than 10-20 seconds per side, easy to just pop them in and out as you need to if the window's down
start by lowering the windows
it's very apparent which side is which, start by placing the lower corner or the deflectors edge into the lower corner of the bottom of the window frame
it's vital that the edge sits
on top of the window rubber..not inside it, like so...
whilst maintaining slight but not heavy downward pressure, locate the top edge of the deflector
inside the window frame
keeping a hold of it as you don't want to drop it and scratch it we move to the other end and we're aiming to go
inside the frame at the top here too, tucking into the frame.
gentle apply pressure towards the front of the car and allow the deflector to bow outwards
now using 2 hands (i didn't cos i was holding the camera) start in the center and work to the sides both left and right at the same time, tipping and pushing at the same time and the deflector will happily slide home inside the frame
put the windows up and down a few times to make sure they're seated ok
The results:
a bit closer, they sit very nice and flush and puff the sides of the car out a little, oh and nice and OEM looking once i rid them of that little blue transfer
side profile
dead flat
further back
from inside
all important window down view
the window
just catches so makes a click noise but that will go after the windows been up and down a few times
Questions i know you want to hear:
Do they stop the rain dripping in from the roof?yup.
What are these like at speed?I've had no worries at all, all the way up to the speed limit and back, nice and quiet
How is it with the sunshine roof open? Does it still release the cabin pressure waves?Yes it does, the cabin is quieter with the front windows down just a touch too whereas before the air just came flying in
Verdict- Nice Light Smoke in colour
- Improves Ventilation And Airflow For More Comfort
- Tough Acrylic Material
- Custom Moulded Aerodynamic Styling so not fat and 4x4ish
- Easy Secure Fit into Window seals - not the low quality glued on type
- Compression fitment so very fast to take on and off
Hope this helps
Peace.
