New car detail?

Can some just advise of a basic detail on a brand new car?

Wash
Foam
Clay
Mild polish - is this needed ?
Wax

Someone may correct me but polishing shouldn't be needed but I'd do the rest can't hurt to have a wash and wax!

If you clay bar you need to polish to remove the light marring  :happy2:

Clay bars - only use once and bin?

Is clay bar + something like AF Citrus a good combo? you kinda remove issues while claying?

Get a clay bar split it in half and use it once then bin it, keep folding and twisting it frequently for a clean piece, you use it with detailing spray for minimum friction more lubrication less damage  :happy2:

If you want the car to look perfect you WILL need to polish it, just because its new doesn't mean it won't be scratched because I'd bet my life it is, they shouldn't be deep so will be easier to remove but they will be there.
