Engine Power
« on: December 17, 2009, 08:15:28 pm »
Just had my GTI serviced at 28k miles. When I got it back I noticied that there is a dull spot at 62mph in 6th gear. When driving along in traffic and go to accelerate the car is hesitant until it gets to about 68mph.

Has anyone else found this problem?

Could be a number of things, maybe a slight boost leak or coilpack. If its only been there since the service i would take it back, at the very least they should do a free VCDS log for you.  :happy2:

Vag-Com Diagnostic System, it's the computer they have at the dealers which plugs into your Onboard Diagnostic Port on your car (under the steering wheel I think) in order for them to find out if there have been any fault codes logged.

Cheers Matt

I got it serviced with an Indy. Does the TFSI engine have a fuel filter, if so what interval should it be changed at?

Is it a cartridge type filter or just a paper insert ?

It's a cartdrige type filter.
