Revo is closest to OEM, the RamAir isn't too bad and Niki corrects the MAF scaling as much as possible during the mapping session. plenty use the RamAir intake without issue
A basic Revo intake is only around £100 more than the RamAir intake which isn't a huge amount when compared with a LOBA pump, and you'll be saving out over an Airtech or similar intercooler by fitting a used alloy S3 core etc.
Cheers Dan. Yeah a hundred here or there is nothing once you consider the total cost of 2+. Haven't heard a bad thing about the Revo intake.
Interesting thread not long ago discussing the bigger coolers on k03 cars. Seems the S3 is optimal for a k03.
I've already got the big jobs ticked off - exhaust is on, making lovely noises, and inducing clutch slip even on the existing Stage 1 R-Tech map. Huge difference in performance to the oem system.
Helix organic clutch and oem dmf going on tomorrow. Will probs nip down to Hinckley soon and get the map tweaked to the exhaust. Then plan the rest of the hardware. BBT hybrid k03 is a definite consideration. It'd be rude not to make full use of the new clutch wouldn't it!
