Much better than the Forge Twintake!!! 

Up to around 5% on the LTFT when I tried a RamAir MAF tube/scaling on Revo software, but the LTFT is not indicative of peak readings, it is only a blanket correction added to the RPM range under mixed load conditions, i.e. normal driving

did you log  lambda adaptation/ regulator ? how much percentage you get with your filter or ramair, ar full throttle, peak power? do you have any log?

Mine stays within + or - 5%, but i do have Meth injection which will affect this too. Thats with my current intake - dont have any logs for the RamAir MAF pipe

Ok. as my ltft are 10-13%. But my lambda regulator is at 25%. I hope its connected with not so ideal forge twintake maf housing.. will see. cannt find k04 logs with twintake on internet (with lambda regulator included in log)

Hey guys, i just bought the oversized intake, the "manual" is sh*t 

but my proplem is since i got k04, how do i connect the hose to the bung ??

the small hose that connected to the old turbo intake is just sitting there open

Did you get the k04 version or k03?

The k04 one should have a nipple tube for the other hose to go on before the maf.

yes i got the k04 one, the bung and all

but my "noise" pipe and other pipes look alot diffrent than what are pictured

mine looks like this, way bigger than the bung for example

Is yours LHD? LHD Ed. 30 have the noise generator and the corresponding pipe. You need to do the same as I did to mine. I relocated the DV to the front of the engine like the RHD Ed. 30.

I've just fitted the 90mm oversize to my K03 stage 1 GTI. The car has a full turbo back 3in exhaust (no cat). The intake has made quite a lot more power than I was expecting. But my fuel economy has plummeted?? 280mls from a full tank?? WTF??

Anyone else heard of this happening?

I'm hopefully fitting an Intercooler in the next month or two and then it's back to the tuner for stage 2 Mapping where I'm sure he'll be able to claw back some fuel economy for me??

Anyone any thoughts on this?

Also, just a heads up for anyone thinking of fitting this intake. The sound of the turbo gulping in air even in light acceleration is really very noticeable. It's present all the time unless you're totally off the throttle. Not necessarily a bad thing. But just thought I'd mention it as I wasn't expecting it and I imagine some people might find it pretty off putting. There's no typical induction roar like you get on a naturally aspirated car. Just lots of giant Hoover like sucking sounds

I'm kinda inclined to agree with you! It ain't subtle and it ain't pretty

Do you have any experience of any others that sound better?

I drove an edition 30 with an EVOMS intake and that wasn't very nice either

Does anyone make an induction kit for this car that actually sounds good??

I'd been keeping an eye on it since going stage 1 map. If anything the map improved economy a little bit.

When I installed the 3in turbo it made a lot more power and hurt the economy just a little.

But when I installed the RamAir it made a little bit more power but the fuel economy plummeted?? It's really weird. I presume it's all in the map or fuel trims or whatever?

I'm ok with spanners but i am a total numpty when it comes to mapping

My feeling is that it's running rich in the cruise portion of the map probably to compensate for the extra air passing the MAF sensor?

The only reason I say that is because on a recent long, boring and steady motorway drive it just gobbled up all my fuel even though my right foot was being parsimonious

Anyway, POWA is so much important than economy anyways... So who cares

must say noise dosent bother me.  i've heard it be compared to an out of tune flute before. i kinda like the whooshy harmonics
