Great build you have there! :happy2:

Not much of the original engine left. The original gearbox would be too weak and too short for what you have now.

PS: I don't know many who would put a 1.4 badge in the back. :signLOL:

Thanks for the comments, yeah the 5 speeds in the MK5 are weak and prone to going bang at stock power so it was a must!

The do a 1.4 75bhp in the Golf so i thought it would be funny but the soot on the tailgate gives it away!

Haha I bet you get some looks of confusion with the 1.4 badge

Haha had a few!

Thanks, i hope you have big pockets haha!

I remember your old 1.9 and i can remember the gearbox going bang aswell

I work at SRS, seen your scirocco down at darkside a few times when you had the turbo kit fitted its pretty smart!

Haha! All part of the fun. I replaced the gearbox with a 70k one, then I think someone else who had it blew it up again, then you guys got the car dirt cheap?  :signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL:

Ahh well that's cool mate, small world :-) next time I'm up say hello! Ryan and Scott are probably sick of me with the issues we've had but it's running nice as pie now :-) so hopefully next time i'm up will be for pump and injector upgrade tuning!  :rolleye:

What great spec. Will surprise a few I bet.

I have been dealing with darkside last couple of weeks rebuilding my 02q box.

Did you not need the brass input shaft support? I bought the steel forks and bronze inserts as well.

Stevie.

Always like to see the derv game in a good light like this, reminds me of being over on ukmkivs when I had my PD!

As quick as my GTI is, reading that torque figure does make me jealous. Spec list reads very well. Top job

The torque is pretty average for a tuned diesel now a days it could do with really been capped at 360-380ftlbs as it still has stock conrods.

What great spec. Will surprise a few I bet.

At the time of fitting the 02Q box the reinforcement plate and input shaft support were not available but its something which will get done done sometime.

I was told the reinforcement plate would not fit the 02Q only the 02M. This is the 3rd time my box has been out I hope these mods do the trick.

Cheers, Stevie.  :happy2:
