Is something like this ok?

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=181832896190&globalID=EBAY-GB

Also, what would i need to buy apart from this unit to get Bluetooth and/or DAB?

To have DAB you need to buy a DAB version. For BT you need to buy a BT kit. Check carsystems.pl or the For Sale section.

So i can add Bluetooth to a RNS510 at a later date, but i cant add DAB later, it has to be "DAB on arrival"?" ?

I can supply bluetooth unit for right price, and you could get the loom from Eddie. Will be cheaper and quicker. Cheers.

Right guys, i am a little confused at the moment if you can help me please.
I will tell you my current setup first:

Mk5 55plate tdi dsg
Standard midline display
NO mfsw
Rns510 dab getting fitted in 2 days along with new canbus
New BT module (thanks to @Pashka)
BT loom & mic (thanks to @Eddie-NL)

I can get a highline display cluster reasonably cheap in a few days.
Will there be any benefit of the highline cluster to me?
Will it make a difference to how my Bluetooth will work?
How will i get the Bluetooth to work without mfsw?

Highline cluster shows the nav directions, track listings and phone book/call info
Will it make a difference to how my Bluetooth will work?
Bluetooth will still work via the headunit interface
How will i get the Bluetooth to work without mfsw?
Calls can be placed straight from the headunit using the touchscreen

Nice addition though to have a highline display - and peeps have added the buttons to a non mfsw without too much trouble
I am sure @Eddie-NL can advise accordingly

thanks for the info! Still in two minds about the highline cluster because i have been told that i need a "Polar FIS BT" kit or something for the calls/phonebook/tracklistings to show properly in the highline display?

If you don't get the Polar BT/Battery module, you can only control your BT module from the RNS/RCD-510 touchscreen. I preferred to have the whole package, so I got the Polar BT module.

Also, the Polar BT/Battery also corrects the battery drainage problem with older Golfs, so you don't need to upgrade the CAN gateway if you just want a newer radio and BT module.

Oh man! If i knew the polar unit does that and displays on highline, i probably wouldnt have bought the new canbus! oh well, look on the bright side, saved a but of money for a different mod
