Rev limiter

I have a mk6 golf r stage 2+ Manual Last night I was having a spirited drive and I hit 7,200-7,4000 revs between gear change accidentally :sick:still drives amazing,so my question is .....
1 is there a rev limiter? And what rpm it Is
2 can it do any harm

Factory limiter is ~ 6800rpm I believe.  Remappers increase the limit because you get more power from revs, which makes their maps more appealing.

So long as you don't rev that high regularly, you'll be fine.

You need to ask your mapper what he set the limit to.  Probably 7500rpm. Personally I would peg it back to 7000rpm.  It's not an engine built for high rpm.
