Tyres
« on: August 19, 2015, 10:39:48 pm »
I'm looking for a new set of tyres for my Pirelli. I'm looking for 225/40 R18 Pirelli P Zero. Does anyone know a good retailer to buy them from at a reasonable price?

Tyreleader.co.uk

Just bought two Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's from them and were the cheapest online and against my local tyre fitter. Quick delivery also, ordered Sunday, arrived today from Germany.

Always wondered if Pirelli owners are influenced in tyre choice simply as the have it plastered in the car? Might look weird having a Pirelli and running a set of dunlops

I just bought a Pirelli and I'll be tempted get get some for it when the time comes. I could be wrong but the PZero Rosso's are the only ones that have the red Pirelli logo on the sidewall - not 100% sure on this though.

Tyreleader has the Rosso's for cheapest at £70.79 delivered - not sure if that includes fitment, balancing and taking away your old ones though?

Mytyres has them for £85.40 which they say includes fitting, vat, valve and balancing. Doesn't mention your old tyres either.

Kwik fit has them at £85.50 and includes getting rid of your old tyres and all the rest.

They're not all influenced!  :signLOL:
Michelin Pilot Super Sports for me. Amazing tyre, completely eclipses F1's too.

Gone but not forgotten :-)

You can safely assume if you go to ANY tyre shop they will take your old tyres for you.

I want to try the Michelin PSS in the future, but the price range is very different from the F1's. For their price the F1's are very good tyres. If the funds allow, the PSS should be almost everyone's choice.

I Need two new front tyres soon but I can't afford to shell out for the top end Dunlop's and Pirelli's. I'm looking seriously at Ultrac Sessanta from Vredestein, as they look great and get good reviews (from the mkV community from what I read) anyone have experience of these? looking @ £160 for both fitted and balanced.

What other mid range tyres are there out there that people rate?

I had the Sessanta, 95% as good as the Eagle F1 in the dry and better in the wet.
Didn't last as long though
I've just come from the Eagle F1s to Ultrac Vorti's on my Scirocco,Vorti being the "new" Sessanta...all good so far.

For £10 extra you can get the Pirelli's...drink 3 less pints this weekend and you're sorted.... :happy2:
