Can you get a R32 rear bumper with no cut out?
« on: June 29, 2009, 12:49:12 pm »
Hey folks looking for some ideas for the rear of my gt sport soot chucker. I really like the rear look of the R32 bumper but seriously dont like the idea of having the twin exhausts  So i was wondering if you can get the bumper with no exhaust cut out?
Or even if you can get the rear centre section of the gti and fit that to the R32 bumper so i can run a 170bhp exhaust with the twin side exit exhaust. Or has anyone got any other ideas? :happy2:

May be a really newbie question but any help would be really apreciated!

Many thanks

I'm not sure if you can or cannot buy the smooth centre section. I
f not why not plastic weld the gaps up and re texture it like we have done on my gti rear bumper. It's in my build thread if you havnt seen it yet.

^ Like Ben, I'd like to know whether there are examples that use the R32 rear bumper with the standard GTI Exhaust cut out?

If there are any examples, pictures would be immense

Thanks  :popcornsoda:

Yeah i think they are i annot find one available in this country anyway. I was planning on getting the r32 rear with this diffuser in the summer when i get my miltek. Ive had a look on the website and they do ship to the uk so it shouldnt be a problem

Here is the link

But after noticing they do a non cut out version im very tempted to go down that route

....

The VW R32 rear 'spoiler' (as VW call it) has various cut-outs which allow for various exhaust configurations. It's then down to which 'exhaust trim' you buy to fit it.
