Make sure you fit the drain hose and point it to the offside of the car and into the inner skin of the door so that any water that gains access through the badge a) doesn't fall onto the lock assembly and b) enter the boot and start to fill the spare wheel well

Its not 100% necessary to remove the C pillar trim, you can feed the wire up the side, mine refused to budge without the threat of a crease forming
Don't be tempted to use a fused spur high than 5A, if the motor has any problems in the winter cold weather the fuse will blow before causing any more serious problems and it needs to be a permanent feed and not fed from the ignition if you want to gain access to the boot without the key in the ignition
