Not had the no picture issue yet on mine.

On a serious note though you do need to use the mirrors as well not just the RVC as you can't see the side of you with the RVC.

Heres another annoyance with RVC;

Quite often when I get in the car I have to reverse out of somewhere like my drive. If the car hasn't been started for a while you get the VW splash screen on for about 10-15 seconds (even if reverse is engaged). Anyway to speed up this splashscreen so I can see the RV quicker?

It seams better with the latest RNSs running the 2720 firmware, have version is yours at?

You should be waiting a few seconds before starting the ignition anyway.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

FW is 26XX from this thread:

and the RNS is an A revision.

Where can I get the 2720 from?

Hi, hope you can help I have just fitted a rear view boot handle reversing camera in my MK5 golf 1.6 FSI, I have not had it coded yet but will be booking it into VW soon, the problem I have now is I cannot open boot with handle I keep getting code (E234) short to ground can anyone tell me is this due to coding or is there a fault thanks.

That's not a coding issue, that sounds like the 12v supply isn't connected correctly.

Hi Steve, Thanks for your reply, I used your site to fit camera I did this step by step, after making boot harness up I put meter on and double checked it, I put my Ross Tec on car but got (E234) short or ground will check again.
Should the boot open with the handle without coding ?

As Steve said, the badge needs 12v to operate the release

If you have vag-com then why don't you code it yourself
