Hi everyone so i had my mot done got the car back and notice my unit is in safe mode and locked, where do i find my pinc code to unlock? I have the full vw handbook but can't seem to find in there?

The MFD2 doesn't need a code because the car's ECU records that the radio already had the code inserted before. So if you disconnect the battery it won't ask for the code again.

So, unless something happened to your ECU, your CAN isn't communicating with your radio or something like it. You might have stolen the radio and want us to tell you how to make it work.

Usually if it is safe mode and locked it means you have to leave it on for a certain amount of time and then switch off and on and it will ask for the code again. If it does then the garage who did the work should be able to obtain it for you if a VW dealer

Funnily enough i was on the motorway for a few hours and realised it was working again strange but thanks for the input!

That was the last hypothesis. I don't know you from anywhere and just because you've been around it doesn't make you an honest guy. :stupid:
