What induction kit? KO3
« on: August 23, 2015, 10:11:39 pm »
Right people, am coming into some spare cash over the next few months.

What advice can people give me on Induction Kits?
Which ones are people running?

I don't want it to sound daft loud either but wouldn't mind a slight noise

Thanks  :jumpmove:

If Marky doesn't want it then I might be interested.  Will that go on an 08 ed30?

Sweet,

it will fit an ED30, but you need to weld a 25mm pipe on the corner (turbo side)for the Diverter valve hose.

Any garage or engineering place can do that for not a lot of money

Hey guys,

I too am after an intake for my stage 2 Ko3 and have narrowed it down to the following:

1. Forge Twintake (2nd hand)
2. EVOMS
3. ITG

The Twintake is the cheapest as it's 2nd hand, however I've heard it can have minor LTFT issues (not too sure if this was specific to the MK6 GOLF R).  Also have heard it's rather loud and intrusive.

The EVOMS & ITG will be brand new and most likely $100-150 more.  Despite being open filter, i've heard the plastic piping on the EVOMS and the 1000 hoses on the ITG help keep the temps down.  LTFT are also pretty good. These are supposedly louder than the Twintake?

After doing some intense searching here (100ish pages) I still can't decide.  Is saving that extra money and going for a Twintake worth it?  Or shall I bite the bullet and go for an EVOMs/ITG? Don't expect to be going Ko4 anytime soon, nor Stage 2 + with a HPFP.

What do you guys think?  Initially I was leaning towards the EVOMs, but the price saving on the Twintake is making me think twice..

I have this hybrid. It's a twin take, where I've removed the canisters and replaced with ITG filters

So much for keeping it standard!

Yup saw that picture come up a lot too!

How are your LTFTs?

I guess i'm not too worried about sound, all intakes will be substantially louder than stock. Realistically it's now between the Twintake and the EVOMS. Might be worth forking out the extra $$$?
