« on: September 06, 2015, 04:45:11 am »
Hi,

Last night I jumped in my gti and give the wipers a go but nothing...

Could this have something to do with me depo xenon style lights??

Please help.

Is the bonnet closed properly?

If it is it could be the sensor on the bonnet catch, have been known to fail and thus cause the wipers to not work, also check fuses...

Was going to suggest wiper motor before even reading the replies. Cheap nasty HIDs for you, happened to a mate on his A3 and cost him hundreds for a new wiper motor as he had an 'uncommon' one that he couldn't find anywhere second hand.

Have a look through the long coding of central electrics and see what options you have, and try a few out (keep a copy of your original coding first!!)
