2005 55 Plate Gti - cambelt or chain?
« on: September 06, 2015, 07:58:03 pm »
I thought these cars all had cam belts.  Do you know if my car - a 55 plate Gti - has a cambelt or cam chain please?

Sorry for the newbie question!

James

What's that chain at the bottom below the cambelt? Is that for the oil pump or whatever it is? I know the timing chain is at the top on the other side to the belt.

Cheers
