What is a inspection service

After doing a number of jobs on my new gti including timing belt and full service I'm a little confused over the service book 

Ticked all the things I've done etc but the it has boxes to tick if you have carried out a interval service inspection and interval service. Any idea what these two mean?

Inspection service is the major and interval serviceis in between oil change and inspection service.

Link doesn't work, I googled it and I'm guessing that's the same link you've posted as I couldn't access that either.

Still not sure what you've wrote makes sense. So what's involved in the major?

 Services inbetween oil services, I'm baffled 

All I do is service once a year, timing belt when it's due, brake fluid change when due then whatever breaks fix it in between.
