Millers long life oil and OEM oil filter
« on: September 05, 2015, 05:45:27 pm »
Just found this: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-60250-millers-oils-xf-longlife-5w-30-high-performance-euro-iv-fully-synthetic.aspx

I'm planning my 6 month oil change and was planning on replacing the usual Castrol edge 5w-30 with this. Will it be a better replacement I know it's longlife and I change my oil at least every 6 months 5k ish but at this price for 5L why not use the millers? Everyone raves about it ....

Also I generally use the OEM Oil filter are there better options out there?

Everyone raves about the Millers Oils Nanodrive 5w40. That's not the same.

I don't see any problem in using it for a stock engine. Nanodrive is better specially for tuned engines.

Ok I'm running a stock setup, so do we think the millers would still be an improvement on the Castrol?

Any renowned brand will be good for your engine, since you change it that often. Your oil doesn't have time to deteriorate.

Don't see the point of paying an extra if you can buy a cheaper good branded oil. I don't know how much you pay for Castrol, but I'd choose the cheaper.

Flyingscotsman, The oil I linked to meets VW504 so what the difference?

It has Nanodrive technology, which reduces engine friction.
