what could also be handy is if you could get the weight of the standard control arms and the cupra/S3 aluminium control arms as they are used to offset the additon in weight of the heavier R32 brakes.

im ot help there. when i sold my full R32 fronts including everything other than carriers, it came to about 43kg for postage iirc

found it,

the weights for lower control arms are...

GTI/Ed30 = 4100 grams each

S3 /cupra= 2290 grams each

would presume the TT lower arms are neigh on exactly the same

.
AP Racing GTI: 10.6 kg - 330 x 28 mm

OEM GTI: 15.6 kg

Both measured on same scales at AP Racing in same session and witnessed by myself.

The 14.5 kg were from a TT-S form. Maybe the TT rotors weigh less . . .

I know this thread is old now..... but im going  upgrade brakes on my ed30.... going for audi s3 8v 2017 calipers with mk7 gti clubsport s 340mm x 30mm discs to save a bit of weight.... anyone run this set up.

Also what pads would one recommend for this application for fast road driving...and maybe a bit of tracking?
 Cheers.
