You can edit your 1st post to correct it.

Yeah, you need at least 2 footwell lights, that are the same as the glovebox compartment. I say at least because you can retrofit footwells lights to the rear seats.

The front and rear lights are different. I don't know their name, I got complete kits from deAutoKey (from the USA and very expensive) and from BoldSport (cheaper but still a bit pricey compared to other online shops). I've had to replace my BoldSport sidelights after 1 year of use and they sent me a new pair, as supposed to. One died and the other was on its way as well.

Yeah, All the ones I have sourced come to under a tenner so it is probably worth a punt on them and if the are crap and don't work it is not much of a loss. Just irritating it take nearly 2 weeks to arrive but I will have a look at the above sites you mentioned

I know that it's not that hard to fit a 2nd light but the one I have in LED gives plenty of light already. :happy2:

This is his e-mail:

Matt.towers1@btinternet.com

oh it was £17 for my kit. I didn't need the number plate lights as already had them.

The hardest was the drivers side footwell light. The housing for all the others pops right out. But for some reason the drivers side footwell was a pain in the arse and I ended up removing the panel that it is held on by. Which was just a TORX screw and a much simpler task and less frustrating.
I recommend getting some plastic pry tools if you have any. Will save any damage when popping the lights out.

There are a couple of very useful threads on here that help identify which bulb goes where, most are obvious as they match the size of the one you take out. Just remember that if the LED doesn't work first time then pop it out and swap it round as the polarity matters.

So ordered the kit off Matt(Footwell ones he is sending later as were not in stock) and was nice and easy to fit with pics below

Well chuffed with how they look and the service from Matt was spot on with delivery  :happy2:

However when fitting the rear/front map ones i was a bit heavy handed and damaged one of the LED's so have sacrificed the glovebox change so I could get all the Map ones done

Also when fitting the front Map ones where there is supposed to be the centre tube light I had nothing there and looked like the below pic so not sure why it is like this is anyone's knows. Not sure if I just need to bend the metal parts and fit the new LED and it will work as it is strange there is no existing bulb

If you recall you never had a center light there. Just the earlier Golfs had.

You probably didn't buy it new, but those lights at the front were always just two.
