TC speak the truth , DSG are proving to be the gearbox of choice and can handle power well
(based on the nutters on here with stage 2+ cars and jonnyc now BT ing)
in theory if its a clutch issue then it would also manifest in 4th and 6th gear (DSG gurus is this correct?), and clutch slip usually starts in the highest ratio.
a change of gearbox oil helped Hurdy out when he had some DSG issues
(how many miles is your car?)
however dont assume the worst yet .
