Problems after ABS Pump Fix [FIXED]

So I finally got around to fitting the ABS Pump fix kit this evening (been sat in the cupboard since last year :ashamed:), all went well (hopes)...

cleared the VCDS error and didn't come back (which it used to immediately)... didn't have time to bleed the brakes, but have one of those EZ Bleed kits to do tomorrow morning...

Just wondering, what is the best order to bleed on the GTI?  Nearest to the Master Cylinder and away, so Front Right / Front Left / Rear Right / Rear Left?

Have done it before AGES ago 5 years or so, but forgotten and have been relying on VW to do it since, so it would great to know, cheers. :)

Thought it was opposite mate furthest away from reservoir first

Thanks mate... there seems to be a lot of different thoughts on the net for the Mk5 GTI - I'm not 100% sure

Front left, front right, rear left, rear right, clutch slave according to VW manuals

i've always been taught to work from furthest to closest. but you cant really argue with the VW manuals lol

Well I did the VW method, and the pedal seems good and stopping power is definitely better.

However, after clearing the codes, they didn't come back, but have a different ABS code now (sigh) and traffic light dashboard :(  Could this mean the ABS needs coding of some description?

Here's the error:

Which suggests a wiring / comms issue... the main plug behind the pump is definitely seated well.

I used the VW Fix kit which has fixed the G201 error, does the above mean the other half is now fecked?

What warning lights are on the cluster after the scan and DTCs cancelling?

Hi mate thanks for the reply.

After immediate clear via VCDS I get the ESP and Tyre Pressure signs on the cluster (Ignition/Startup).

But when moving off, 10-20mph perhaps, I get an additional ( ABS ) warning sign, as well as the above.

The Rosstech wiki shows comms issue, but I was Really careful to cover/wrap both plug and socket of the connecters with clean disposable gloves as I thought fluid may get on them - I'm pretty confident the connection is clean and sound. 

Tad annoying really, as I thought I was golden, lol.  Any suggestions :)

When activating BASIC SETTINGS via clicking the Button highlighted in green below, my response is: ERROR: Group 66 Not Available

Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201)

Prerequisites:

    System voltage at least 12.0 V.

[Select]
[03 - Brake Electronics]
[Measuring Blocks - 08]
Group 005
[Go!]
Check field 1, the value has to be between -8.0 and +8.0 bar.
[Done, Go Back]
[Coding-II - 11]
OR (if Coding-II is not available)
[Security Access - 16]
Enter 40168, to enable the basic setting.
[Do it!]
[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 066
[Go!]
Activate the Basic Setting.
[ON/OFF/Next]

After a successful basic setting, field 2 should say "OK".
[Done, Go Back]
To make sure the basic setting was successful, check the sensor again.
[Measuring Blocks - 08]
Group 005
[Go!]
Check field 1, the value has to be between -3.8 and +3.8 bar.
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

Worth noting the Orange line from above the test comes back within the specified range...?

Are you following the set up for your model of pump?

I know the last one I done was a right chew for it to accept the security code!

I think so mate... it's accepting the Security Code (40168), then onto Basic Settings 04, but once in there and clicking the Activate button at the top, it spreads the: ERROR: Group 66 Not Available across all the field boxes in red/maroon. 

That's as far as I've managed to go, as the instructions then say: After a successful basic setting, field 2 should say "OK".

Read this all but section 5 pre ABS bleed is what you need to address first
