Looks cool, it's a good price too.  Anglesey is way more, for anything bigger than a Bike.

GTI is a bit sick atm, but I'm definitely bookmarking this site for the future. :happy2:

My car will be in AKS or on its way to Rtech in need of mapping but I might come along and say hello.

For anyone else thinking of doing the same, I would say get there early as you drive across the circuit to get to the paddocks and cant get in / out until the lunch time break.

103 is a good limit for Mallory especially considering the hardship they've had with locals complaining to the council.

My dad has done a few trackdays at Mallory on the bike so will be at an advantage, i have a rough idea of the track. i'll just take it slowly to start. not going balls out either way

They had the chicane after the harpin, I think on the car days they don't have this on. Been a while since my last track action which was in July at the VXR day so not even in my own car! Lol.

Mike - would be great if you could pop down and say hi!

I agree, after the noise malarky, then again it is a weekday so most people are at work
if they're not, they should get a bloody job!  :popcornsoda:

Think they have a chicane now on the big 1st right hander to help stop oil starvation and accidents.

Someone from.work is doing one this Thursday there

Slightly off topic but I have done a single seater experience a couple of years back and also last week had a full VIP day at Brands Hatch with the 360 racing team where I initially got 3 20 mins driving sessions in a DS3 with a qualified race driver and the 3 more 20 mins sessions in their Radical SR3 vehicles race car.

It taught me a lot and the day was absolutly brilliant but got me wondering if I wanted to take my car on a track day what would I need.

I have pretty much a stock ED30 apart from it has a Stage 1 map and RamAir CAI. I am not looking to go out and rag it or anything and would likey be taking it nice and easy to learn the corners etc but wondering what impact it would have on standard brakes and tyres etc and what oit would cost to get a decent set up so that my car would be okay for a track day.

IF your not going to be driving to hard then id say a -

*Brake fluid change so you dont boil your brake fluid.
*make sure you have decent tyres pads ands disks are in good shape.
* Corner weights - so your car weight is distributed evenly across all 4 axles
* fresh oil change, I guess this depends on when your oil was last changed.
* Oh and bring your own helmet if you have one. even thought you can rent one, you dont know how many people have used them

Sounds wicked mate!!!!! :)

I'd fit some better brake pads and fresh brake fluid and make sure your tyre pressures are correct, oil and coolant levels correct and alignment is good
Aside from that if you're just out for a bit of fun that's fine.

You can't corner weight a car unless you have adjustable suspension. Fine if you have a car built for purpose but for a daily driver probably not necessarily required.

It's the local track and he has only just started doing trackways. The only one he has done was there a couple of months ago.
He really liked it, and rebooked for this Thursday, but obviously he has nothing else to compare it to.
