Evening all,
A mate of mine is taking his gorgeous gen 2 997 to Castle Combe on the 5th Oct along with another mate in an M3. They asked if I want to join them in my GTI. It's a 2006 BWA, K03, DSG and will have an R-Tech stage 1 map on it by then (booked in for the 1st Oct)

I'm not too worried about the relative lack of power compared to other cars on track (i'm guessing around 250bhp and 300lb/ft after the remap) but what I am worried about is the brakes. I've done several track days in supercars (I was at Everyman Racing in Loughborough last Tuesday driving the Atom, R8, 458 Italia, McLaren MP4-12C and 650S) and I love karting so I know how to drive

What I don't want to happen is experience massive brake fade and slam into the Armco!!

So.... What do you think? Should I crack on but be cautious? Would it be best avoided without brake (and possibly suspension) upgrades?
Either way, what upgrades would you suggest next without breaking the bank?
Cheers!
Matt.
