So may need to get a replacement any way but first I a trying to work out if the fault I have is a damaged sensor or the actual N205 Valve.

Since I had the fault if I unplug and re-attach the damaged connection and then run the basic setting via VCDS it resets the EML and does not comeback on for a while but eventually after about a day will come back on. It is usually after driving so not sure if driving around is knocking the damaged connection or if the car is reporting an actual fault and it only goes away because I am resetting the connection etc.

So 2 determine if it is just the connector which I presume is the sensor or an actual faulty valve can anyone tell me what sort of issue/symptoms I would suffer if the valve itself was faulty as opposed to just a sensor.

For background I have been resetting it over the last week no problem and when it does come on I am driving the car home from work for about 30 miles a different speeds and have no obvious issues.
