TTRS Brakes
« on: April 17, 2015, 06:39:33 pm »
Got the calipers, now l need advice on pads and discs.

Currently standard GTI, but looking to go Stage 2 in the not too distant future. Please let me know what kit is recommended and where to purchase from.

Thanks.

I'm running my TTRS set up with

AKS/ DaveB adaptors for 340/ 345mm discs from AKS Tuning
Drilled and groved 340mm tts disc from Mtec
Brembo sport pads from Autops.co.uk

I've got about 6000miles on this kit and they've taken some abuse but never once did I lose my confidence in them. That lot will set you back around £600ish

Depending on your budget there's a couple of 2 piece set ups and some other pad options but that would be another £1k or so. Or you cab stick with the OEM discs and pads but theyre not the best really.

ive just installed them on my gti. absolutly love them. running ttrs discs and pads at the moment and its a huge improvement over standard setup, and they look great on the car. bit of a tight fit with the wheels but i love them. you may need wheel spacers if going for this setup.

It's awesome & u won't lose confidence when braking at silly speeds
I'm soooo impressed with this setup that I would fit the same kit on my
