Just a quick shout to check how many forum members are from this wee island !!! Have most of you had any dealings with your local VW DEALER.  Eg. Wing rust etc. how  issues got resolved.  Maybe share local VAG independent workshops etc.

Lyons. Can I ask how bad the rust was on the wings that convinced phillips to help? Have you any pics? And also was your car serviced regularly by Philips vw?

It'd never been serviced by Philips.

The rust was very minor (the seller hadn't even noticed it).

I'm from lurgan in n i so deal with vw in Portadown they don't seem to be upnto scratch compared to Portadown audi who were more than happy to help with the silliest of questions!

I use my local mechanic for any servicing or other work with no problems what so ever !

Issac Agnew on Boucher Road in Belfast sorted the rust on my wing no problem  :happy2:

Rust was not too bad could only find it if you were looking for it. nope it has never been serviced by them! They even have me a mk4 golf as a courtesy car!
