Revo intake problems

So today I fitted my intake, first off I was missing one screw that holds the bracket onto the battery tray for the shield (I'm guessing as the instructions say put the first bolt into the bracket/shield loose but never mentions it again) people with this intake should know what I mean. Then I had a few washers left and one 'flat' bracket left. No mention of this in instructions. Why is there two types of washers in the kit, tiny ones then the bigger ones? I never used the tiny ones.

Also the cone filter part touches the headlight, is this normal? And the other cars with this fitted don't touch it from what I've seen. I can't see how I can get around this, I've got the cone and the main pipe just about touching inside the silicone pipe that connects them.

 

Also was thinking this pipe may rub though on the intake pipe

Not much help with how you are describing brackets and washers etc, but I don't remember having any additional brackets left, maybe a washer or two. As to the cone being against the headlight, I'm pretty sure mine is either just touching it, or it's literally a couple of mm off it

I can't remember any bits left over to be honest, but if the shield is secure I wouldn't worry about it.

Regards fitment, that looks about right, it's a tight fit in there, the pipe opposite the battery is lined silicone so shouldn't rub, I'd suggest putting a bit of thread lock on the bolt holding the intake pipe just above, as mine always worked it's way loose

What's this flat bracket for and these tiny washers? No mention of them in the instructions and I'm sure there was more than two washers, if so looks like I've lost them. Going to refit it as when idling I can hear the shield bouncing about  or pipe/filter hitting it. Also the silicone pipe that connects the cone to pipe has been rubbing on shield, why's nothing straight forward

Hi Chris the heat shield with mine too was doing the same thing ! I used chunky foam pads on the edge of the heat shield to prevent rubbing/vibration or you could use a sock or similar and as for the filter hitting the light you need to push the filter and silcone pipe back a bit

Mine too was also vibrating, but a bit of adjusting sorted it out

I can't push the cone filter any further back, the cone and the intake pipe and just about touching inside the silicone pipe. So there's no way I can get it to move away from the light. It's not pressed up as much as I first thought but it's defo touching it, just other pics I've seen on here of the same intake there seems to be a clear gap between the back of the light and filter.

So did anyone else have them parts in my hand left over?

Does anyone know if the shield that comes with the two revo intake are any different from each other?
