my car is 57 plate and has the forge with no issues. its been on for about 10k as well

i think it just a golf thing mate its the plastic side to side action bar that vw changed from a metal one to a plastic one so the throw is all out

matt is spot on here, vwr supply the metal side arm with the shift, change no doubt made by been counters  :fighting:

i was the first to find out about this so me and Mark Farmer of vwr compared a few gti and we said it was down the side action so we tried a rocco item first but that was too tight so i said could it be down to the old style type ie the metal one and low and behold it works and its perfect  :smiley:
