Amp goes in the boot :) but come up with any solution.  As all depends on what amp youre using and how big it is etc. .
Considering the DLS A7 but it's very big so yes would have to go in the boot!

Remind me what you're running them off again, hu/amp?

How you finding the 8s? They should create a nice bit of mid-bass.

Are you not going to fit an amp?

I was going to, but really don't think it needs it now.

You will get a huge improvement in quality changing from the RNS/RCD to an aftermarket unit like a Pioneer or something :-)

Agree. But I want to keep my RNS and I'll possibly look at the Gladen quad lock amp kit and a Mosconi 2 channel at some point.  :happy2:

Those 8" Gladen 3-ways look to be exactly what I've been looking for

I can't see the One Line 200 Extremes on the Germaniks site though.

Do they come with cross overs and did you have to change any of the VW speaker wiring?

Just accept you will get a huge jump in quality (even when amped) with a better head unit. :)

Yes. Came with crossovers. You just ignore everything that's currently there apart from the 3/4 pin connector by the existing woofer. And feed from that into the crossovers which provide to the woofer, mids and tweeters.

Ok cheers may order these myself as it sounds quite straightforward to install!

It's a pain to install. Have a heat gun or hairdryer at the ready to remove old lugs holding tweeters and other bits in. And also need to drill out the rivets for the old woofers and come up with your own mounting solution for the spacers as nothing is provided. Also nothing to mount the crossovers. Mine are just cable tied to the existing looms.

Oh ok, just thought it would be easier than the Rainbows I have as the Gladen speakers are the exact same size as the VW ones so thought they would be easier to fit...at least the door card should go back on easily enough!
