They are 55w rated but the claim to be as bright as 100w bulbs.
I haven't driven much in the dark yet but when the lights come on early in the morning they seem really bright

They are the same as mine... I am disappointed with them at night time so will be interested to hear your opinion. The spread seems limited.
Which sidelights LEDs did you get as mine are really dim
I find my bulbs brilliant at night, they light everything up perfectly and look a lot whiter than every other car.

i cant see why i can buy hids to put in my projectors...surely they will be alot brighter??
HID's inside halogen reflector headlamps don't give the correct beam pattern. They are too bright for the reflectors so the light scatters and goes everywhere, blinding drivers coming the other way. Plus on the MK5 golf there's a chance that it can fry you wiper motors and leave you without any wipers
